Lady Tara of Balyhara, CD, RE, CGC, TDI

Tara is our Princess. She joined our family in the summer of 2001. Yes, within 6 months of having our first Irish Water Spaniel, we now had 2. Tara is classified as a rehome/rescue as she was already 3 years of age. She came to us in rather deplorable conditions -- bladder infection, eye infection, and ear infection. After a course of antibiotics, she transitioned quite nicely into the household. Actually, she has become our alpha dog -- putting up with "NO" crap from any of the 3 dogs.
She is an absolute doll. Her tail NEVER stops wagging. As a matter of fact, she wags it so hard against the floor that I often say I should have named her Thumper. It took us several years to get her composed enough to be around other dogs and comfortable in obedience classes. Finally in 2004, she made her debut in the obedience ring. I quickly learned that she only shows indoor - somehow fitting for a Princess. She's an absolute dream.
Tara has really come into her own in 2005. Rally has made an amazing change in her confidence. She knows that she can do it all and it ready to proof it. In addition, she has been approved as a Pet Therapy dog at Children's Hospital of Pittsburgh. We should begin our training and visitation in January of 2006.
